Reynaldo Barceló

Reynaldo Barceló is a Cofounder of ZeroToIP and a founding partner of Barceló, Harrison & Walker, LLP, with nearly 30 years of intellectual property experience. Rey has served as lead counsel defending and asserting patents for some of the world’s best-known technology companies, in fields including microprocessor architecture, semiconductors, cardiac pacemakers, and digital video. He has taught International Intellectual Property Transactions at Stanford Law School as an Adjunct Professor, and BHW IP Law was recently recognized by Chambers and Partners in its Spotlight California 2025 Guide for its work in intellectual property law.

He holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review and a founding editor of the Stanford Technology Law Review, along with an M.S.E.E. from USC and a B.S.E.E. from Loyola Marymount. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He serves as President of Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs of Southern California.

ZeroToIP was built inside a working patent practice, not around one. Rey spent years watching the process stay too slow and too expensive for most innovators, and he built the first version for his own firm, against real matters, with attorney review at every stage. That is still the design principle: elite IP protection, powered by AI, accountable to a licensed attorney, and accessible to far more people than the traditional model allowed.
